What happened to Carrier’s older heat pump model numbers?

Carrier’s current residential heat pump catalog uses 27-series model numbers and Puron Advance (R-454B). Older 25-series heat pumps belong to the previous R-410A generation and no longer appear in the current catalog. The 24VNA6 is a retired air conditioner, not a heat pump, and Carrier’s decommissioning page remains live. A retired archive page documents previous equipment; it does not make that model part of the current heat pump lineup.

What warranty comes with a Carrier heat pump?

Carrier heat pumps carry the Consumer Choice Warranty, which depends on registration:

  • Registered within 90 days: choose either 10 years parts only, or 5 years parts plus 3 years labor.
  • Not registered within 90 days: 5 years parts, with no labor coverage.
  • Dealer participation: the labor option is available only if your installing dealer has elected to join the Consumer Choice program.
  • Eligibility: new residential construction is excluded; the program covers replacement installations.
  • Automatic coverage: jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration receive the 10-year parts coverage without registering.
